Colombo, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Meet and assist on arrival at Airport by Jagath Tours & Travels Representative. Transfer from Airport to Pinnawala. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage provides visitors with the best chance of seeing a large number of Elephant at close quarters. The Orphanage was established in 1975 and commenced with seven Orphaned elephants. Today some of these elephants enjoy the fortune of seeing their calf’s born in the same location. It is most interesting to visit at feeding time to see the baby elephants being bottle fed and the entire herd taken for a bath thereafter to the river nearby. Spice Garden During early historical times Sri Lanka known as Taprobane, was world renowed for its Quality Spices. Day 2
The holy Temple of the tooth Kandy is most sacred shrine of Buddhist. Kandy Temple The Royal Botanical garden of Peradeniya covers approximately 147 acres and attracts over million visitors annually. It is home to over 4000 species. Of plants including some of the most beautiful Orchids you’ll ever see .The origins of their magnificent garden date back to the time of King Wickramabahu the 3rd in 1371. Day 3
Hanuman Temple On Their hills of Ramboda Where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi chinamaya mission of Sri Lanka built temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. Day 4
Nuwara Eliya, Because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world’s best Tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 Feet) is located here. The Victoria Park in the middle of the town is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get rare birds in this park.
Kitulgala- It is one of the most famous places for white water rafting adventures. However there are many more reasons why this spot just 100kms from the capital Colombo is well worth of visiting. Chief among these are the historic Balangoda man supposed to have lived. The caves are reached after short 10km drive from the main road through the Kitulgala tea estate. Bentota- located in the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka. Bentota is known for its stretches of indigo sea and golden sands. The village of Bentota remains to be peaceful, making it the perfect, beach sanctuary to escape into. Day 5

Day 6
Colombo is the trade capital of Sri Lanka, and is a city that has under gone rapid changes. While most of old buildings have been replaced by new apartments and office buildings, some parts of city yet retains in old charm. The 100 years old clock tower built by the British and some colonial buildings remain examples. The independence square, Nelum Pokuna, Pettah Bazaar and BMICH are some of the main highlights of the city.
